Thirsty: A 2 Week Devotional
Once, I asked a college student who grew up in the church what they knew about the Holy Spirit. Her reply was that the Holy Spirit came to kill all the first born Egyptians while the nation of Israel escaped into the wilderness. Apart from that, there wasn’t anything else she could tell me about the Holy Spirit. (By the way, it doesn’t exactly say that in Exodus 12:29)
Thirsty is a 2 week devotional designed to help you understand the Person of the Holy Spirit and what importance he has in your life. You can download it as a PDF or buy it online at CruPress for $10.95.

Summer Projects Recap
Here’s a list of the summer projects that are still open and we recommend:
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is one of the newer summer projects. It is unique in that you have opportunities to minister on local college campuses and take a summer course at Santa Monica City College. It is similar in structure to the Ocean City project in many ways as well. Our own Matt Pfaff will be on staff on this project this summer. Send him a message if you have more questions.
San Diego Express
Express is designed for the student who doesn’t have 8 weeks to spare in the summer, but still wants to get training in leadership and ministry skills. It is only 2 weeks long and is close by in San Diego. Jim Kercheval will be one of the project directors, and he also hopes that many Cal Poly Pomona students will join him there this summer!
Australia
This too will involve starting up ministries college campuses. Since school is in session in the summer in Australia, this is a perfect time to meet students and share Christ.
Estonia (Student Venture)
This project is in one of the least religious countries in the world. It involved outreach to high school students in the country. The team will consist of both college students and high school students.
Double Overtime Win in the last 6 Seconds
For those of you who missed the tailgater…..Dominguez Hills hits a 3 pointer with 0.6 seconds left on the clock. They thought it was over. Anderson hits a 3 from beyond half court to win the game 60-58 in double overtime!
Tailgate Party Tomorrow!
Join us tomorrow for a tailgating party at the top of the parking structure from 5-7pm. Park your car up top, bring a chair, blanket and a main dish and something to drink for yourself. Then we’ll walk over to watch the last Men’s Basketball game of the season at 7:30. Bring your ID for the game so you get in free.
Do You Have a Heart for High School Ministry?
There is an opportunity to serve with Cru’s high school ministry call Student Venture in Estonia this summer. It is a summer project focused on reaching high school students in a country where, according to Wikipedia, is the 2nd least religious country in the world. The team will consist of both high school and college students and will last 4 weeks. If you are interested in high school ministry, this will be a great summer to learn leadership and discipleship skills and grow in your own faith. The deadline to apply is coming soon, so don’t delay in applying!
