This Thursday our weekly meeting will be held outside on the Pancake steps at noon. Jon Rittenhouse will be the professor students can ask questions about God and the Bible. It should be a great time to learn. Bring your friends and tell people about it in your classes. If you can’t make it, we are planning on livestreaming it. Please be praying for Jon and the students that will be attending.
If you plan on coming, be sure to RSVP on Facebook and join the conversation on the event page.
Thursday at noon. Special speaker: John Rittenhouse.
At Thursday’s weekly meeting we’ll be hearing from John Rittenhouse, who will be doing a series on apologetics for us the next several weeks. He teaches evangelism classes at Biola University and gets good ratings on Rate My Professor. He’s also spoken here at Cal Poly Pomona in the past. In 2008 he spoke at an event we co-hosted with MSA called “Jesus: Prophet or God.” You won’t want to miss hearing from him.
Church planter, Ron Edmonson gives 7 Marks of a Great Leader. These are all great qualities, but not achievable without the help of God’s Spirit in our lives. Here at Cru we pray that God is maturing each student involved with us in their leadership skills whether they are living out their faith on their dorm floor, leading a small group, or planning an event.
This is a story of a student who came to faith Christ and how God worked in her heart and in her family.

This artlcle by Kathy Keller, wife of pastor Tim Keller of Redeemer Church in New York, talks about good reasons why as a Christian you shouldn’t marry a believer. She has been involved in counseling many women in unhappy marriages who got involved with a non-Christian guy, got married and now experience pain and loneliness. If only she could have these women sit down with someone who was younger and thinking about marrying a non-Christian, then they would have a better picture of what they would be facing in an unequally yoked marriage. Either you would have to push your faith to the outer margins of your life to keep peace in your marriage, or you would have to marginalize your spouse to participate in Christian activities. Either scenario will create constant tension and stress in your life.
